Docs: free AI agents and how to use them
Everything on this page is free: four AI agents to download and paste into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or whichever AI you use, and a short guide to get started. They are the ones we use in our own work, to get our time back.
The agents
An agent is an AI with instructions already written for one specific job. Download one and paste it into the AI you use. Tested on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Qwen, Kimi and DeepSeek.
-
First mate
Contramaestre
The AI that tells you the truth. It points out the mistake along with the fix, questions what you assume and gives you the next action. It becomes an expert in your line of work.
-
Quartermaster
Quintero
Fair prices, tidy inventory and copy that sells without lying. It prices with a floor and a reason, and writes your listings in three options.
-
Navigator
Prompt Engineer
Turns your vague ideas into precise instructions for any AI, and teaches you to write them yourself, so you don’t depend on it.
-
Compass
Guardian
Reviews your decisions, tools and texts before you publish them: it names the hidden risks and offers you a practical path.
How to use them
- 1. Pick one agent. One per chat. If you want the Contramaestre for your work and Quintero to sell, use two chats or two projects.
- 2. Paste it at the start. As the first message of a new chat, or in the instructions of a Project (Claude, ChatGPT) or a Gem (Gemini).
- 3. Fill in your context. At the end of each prompt there’s a block with your details: project, line of work, goal. That’s what makes it yours.
Want to get more out of the Contramaestre?
It has a guide to get it working: step-by-step setup on each platform, example situations and before-and-after cases. Pay what you want, from $0.
The whole journey, in the open
The whole journey of the crew is on GitHub: how it began, what we tried, what worked and what didn’t. We publish it so anyone can learn along with us.
